It’s time for a new year under the colours of the Fraîch’Fantasy!

For the second consecutive year, the French Interprofessional Association of Fresh Fruits and Vegetables (Interfel), the Hungarian Chamber of Agriculture (NAK) with the participation of the AOPn Tomatoes and Cucumbers of France and the AOPn Strawberry, continue to work together to raise awareness of fruit and vegetable consumption among the youngest.

Fresh fruit and vegetable festival, national tour, video game, virtual reality, TV series, events in France and Hungary… La Fraîch’Fantasy and its two heroes, Frutti and Veggi, invite children to their wonderful world where fresh fruits and vegetables have magical powers.

As a reminder, the consumption of fruit and vegetables by the French is low compared to the recommendations of the World Health Organization (WHO): 321g per day per person for France while 400g are recommended. The target is set between 3 and 4% increase in consumption among households with children.

On your agendas!

For 2019, the program is full of adventures with:

– The Route du Goût organized by the AOPn Tomatoes and Cucumbers of France, an educational food truck that will travel through 20 French cities from April 3 to May 4 with the objective of raising awareness among 7,000 children about the cultivation of tomatoes and cucumbers under glass.

– The 15th edition of the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Festival will take place throughout France from June 14 to 23: workshops led by dieticians, recreational activities and gaming space will be offered to children and parents, as well as influencers.

– The Fraîch’Fantasy is back on television with 16 new episodes starting in June!  

– Mobile video game: 4 new worlds to discover and more than 100 levels available from spring 2019.

 

Since January 2018, this program has reached more than 38 million people in France and has been supported by more than 16,500 partners (local authorities, sales outlets, schools, etc.).

– The Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Festival brought together nearly 295,000 participants at 150 events in France. On the program: culinary workshops and sensory discoveries, virtual reality immersion stations in the world of Frutti and Veggi…

– A 3D animated TV series with 8 episodes during which Frutti, Veggi and their young human companion, Will, fight against their enemy Angry in the fantastic kingdom of “Vegapolis”. If you want to watch all the episodes again, it’s this way!

– A video game on mobile and tablet never before seen! The result: adventures, “magical” cooking recipes and family sharing. The “European Fraîch’Fantasy” application, available on Playstore, has already been downloaded more than 13,000 times since its launch in October 2018.

– A television and YouTube advertising campaign for the AOPn Fraise to promote the Ronde, Charlotte, Gariguette and Ciflorette varieties and offer recipes for families to cook.
